How Privacy Navigator works, and what to expect.
We want it to be easy to understand how we develop recommendations, what we do and don't do, and how we handle your information.
How recommendations are developed.
We use a structured decision framework.
Each Privacy Check asks a short series of questions covering the type of information involved, who can be identified, the tool or AI in use, and the scope of use. Answers map to a recommendation level that's consistent across users.
We focus on commonly-cited considerations.
Our questions and guidance reflect commonly-cited privacy and governance considerations, not any single regulation. The output is plain-language guidance, not a legal opinion.
We don't store your answers.
Privacy Checks run entirely in your browser. Your responses are not transmitted to a server or stored after you close the page.
What Privacy Navigator does.
